Hours after it issued a query to a student, Nurse Osato Edobor, for posting a video online where students defiantly refused to chant in praise of the First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu, who visited the Delta State College of Nursing Sciences, the school has since retracted its step.
In a follow up letter instructing Edobor to disregard responding to the query which had threatened disciplinary actions against her, and which demanded she provide reasons for her action, the school through the provost, Evbodaghe R. (Mrs), asked for a return of the earlier query.
In a move that suggests the state government was embarrassed by the action of the provost, the new letter stated “the school authority regrets any inconvenience this must have caused the state.”
This medium has reported that the wife of the President, Bola Tinubu was in Delta State earlier in the week in continuation of her husband`s renewed hope agenda, and distribution of kits.
