Pasuma, Taye Currency Reconcile in Mecca After Longtime Feud

Date:

The lingering rift between popular Fuji musicians Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and his former protégé, Alhaji Taye Akande Adebisi, better known as Taye Currency, has been resolved.

The reconciliation reportedly took place in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, during the ongoing Umrah 2025 pilgrimage. A viral video circulating online shows the two artists sitting closely and engaging in a conversation, signaling the end of their disagreement.

Supporters of both musicians have confirmed the resolution, bringing an end to a feud that had sparked tensions among their fan bases.

The dispute dates back to October 2024, when Taye Currency rejected being referred to as Pasuma’s “son” in the Fuji music industry. The Ibadan-born singer clarified that while he respects Pasuma as an elder brother, he does not consider him a father figure.

His statement led to widespread criticism from Pasuma’s fans, who saw it as a sign of disrespect. In response, Taye Currency later released an apology video, clarifying that his remarks were misinterpreted and expressing regret for any offence caused.

He reaffirmed his respect for Pasuma and acknowledged his seniority in the industry.

With their reconciliation in Mecca, fans of Fuji music are celebrating the end of the feud, hoping that both artists will continue to uphold unity in the genre.
