Ex-Army Colonel Adegbola Dumps PDP for APC, Mobilizes 13,000 Supporters in Oyo

Retired Army Colonel, Dr. Gbenga Adegbola, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), bringing with him a strong political base of over 13,000 supporters from Oke-Ogun, Oyo State.

Adegbola was formally welcomed into the party at the APC National Secretariat by the National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, CON. His defection marks a significant boost for the ruling party in Oyo State, as he is regarded as an influential grassroots mobilizer in the region.

Speaking at the reception, Dr. Ganduje described Adegbola’s entry into the APC as a strategic gain, emphasizing the party’s commitment to strengthening its base ahead of future elections.

Adegbola, in his remarks, expressed confidence in the APC’s leadership and pledged to contribute to the party’s growth in Oyo State.

Political analysts say his defection, along with thousands of supporters, could reshape the political dynamics in Oke-Ogun, a crucial zone in Oyo’s electoral landscape.
