The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that registration for the 2025 Direct Entry (DE) application will commence on Wednesday, March 12.
JAMB’s Public Communications Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, made this known in a statement on Monday in Abuja, emphasizing that the registration is for candidates with degrees, diplomas, or A-level certificates seeking admission into universities.
The announcement follows the successful conclusion of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) application, which ended on Saturday, March 8. JAMB recorded 2,030,627 UTME registrations, with 200,115 candidates for the Mock-UTME and 630 applications for the trial mock exam.
The examination body warned that strict verification processes would be in place to authenticate all submitted A-level qualifications. A special committee will screen the credentials, and any false declaration will lead to serious penalties, including prosecution. JAMB further advised institutions to verify certificates directly before considering applicants for admission.
Additionally, JAMB reiterated that Direct Entry registration can only be carried out at approved JAMB Professional Registration Centres (PRCs) to prevent fraudulent activities.
With the DE registration set to begin, JAMB urged all prospective candidates to adhere to the entry requirements and avoid submitting false information, as defaulters will face legal consequences.
