Oshoala’s brother declares interest in Ikorodu LG chairmanship

Azeez Oshoala, brother to the six-time winner of African Women’s Footballer and Super Falcon’s striker, Asisat Oshoala, has declared his intention to vie for the chairmanship of Ikorodu Local Government.

He will contest under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress, during the forthcoming local government elections in Lagos State.

Oshoala, a media entrepreneur in a statement, on Saturday, said that youths are globally favoured in leadership positions because of their abiding strength, vigour, resourcefulness and dynamism.

According to the statement, speaking during the declaration held at his Ikorodu campaign office.

The chairmanship aspirant said, “I have consulted my leaders and other stakeholders widely on the need to be supported to emerge as the next Ikorodu Local Government chairman.

“This move is to help harness and unleash all the potential for greatness and transformation of our local government.

“This is an offer to serve my people, it is therefore not a do-or-die ambition and it is not a raw lust for power or monetary gain,” he said.

Oshoala promised to bring about a fresh wave of life-transforming programmes and developments hugely beneficial to all residents and indigenes of the local government.

The chairmanship aspirant holds two Masters degrees from international institutions and a member of various professional bodies.
