Proposed NFF Hotel will reduce National Teams’ Accommodation Costs

Date:

The much-anticipated NFF hotel project, which commenced just two weeks ago, is making steady progress, with the foundation laying scheduled for February.

According to a reliable football stakeholder who preferred to remain anonymous, the cleared land designated for the hotel’s construction will take shape within the next six months.

In an exclusive conversation with Totorinews, the source shared that Nigerians can expect to see a well-constructed facility rise on the site in the coming months.

“By six months from now, after the foundation is laid this February, the structure will begin to take form,” the insider disclosed.

The source highlighted the significance of the project, especially under the leadership of NFF President Ibrahim Gusau, who is committed to reducing the financial burden on the federation, particularly in terms of accommodation costs for national teams.

“Ibrahim Gusau is an accountant by profession, and his expertise in managing finances is evident in this project.

Reducing or eliminating unnecessary expenses, particularly accommodation costs, is his priority,” the source added.

Once completed, the NFF hotel is expected to significantly cut the costs associated with housing junior national teams.

“This building will be a game-changer. Millions of naira that would typically go into accommodation will be saved, benefiting the NFF and the teams,” the insider stated.

The NFF hotel is being built at the Package B section of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, and its completion is set to mark a milestone in the federation’s efforts to streamline costs and improve the welfare of the national teams.
