An unruly French national who disrupted operations at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, has finally been deported, thanks to a collaborative effort involving the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and Air France. The passenger, placed under sedation after a medical evaluation, boarded an Air France flight to Paris at 10 p.m. on Thursday.

Miriam Anosike, the terminal head at the airport, spearheaded the operation, working closely with Ifueko Abdulmalik and the airport’s Immigration Commander, Mr. Agada. Their coordinated approach ensured the safe and orderly deportation of the disruptive individual.

“I witnessed the boarding personally, and the team, particularly Miriam and the NIS officers, did an exceptional job,” said an eyewitness involved in the operation.

The deportation was not without precautionary measures. “We advised the airline to keep sedatives on hand in case of any in-flight disturbances,” the source added.

The Air France station manager and cabin crew were briefed thoroughly, ensuring a smooth transition for the passenger back to France.

This successful operation highlights the efficiency and professionalism of the involved agencies. “Kudos to the NCAA, the NIS, and the Air France team for their swift and decisive actions,” the source concluded.
