Motiva Sports to launch Footprints to Greatness initiative

Date:

Motiva Sports Management Limited, a leading name in Nigerian sports management, is set to launch a youth program ‘Footprints to Greatness’ – a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering young Nigerians with the football skills and opportunities necessary for personal and professional success.

With over a decade of impactful contributions to the sports industry, Motiva Sports is now turning its focus to social change, using the power of sports to create lasting impact.

The program, spearheaded by Babajimi Ogunlana, a FIFA-licensed football agent and experienced sports media professional, seeks to use sports as a vehicle to teach vital life skills, digital literacy and vocational training to young people in Lagos.

F2G is particularly focused on providing an alternative to harmful behaviours such as gambling and substance abuse, helping participants to build resilient futures and pursue stable career paths.

“We believe in the transformative power of sports,” said Ogunlana, the driving force behind the initiative.

“With Footprints to Greatness, we are not only giving young people the opportunity to engage in sports but also providing them with the tools to succeed in life – from practical vocational skills to valuable career mentorship.”

In its first phase, F2G plans to reach over 200 youths in Lagos, offering workshops, internships, and hands-on training in various disciplines. The initiative also aims to build long-term partnerships with stakeholders, ensuring the program’s sustainability and potential for expansion.

Looking ahead, Motiva Sports plans to scale the program to other states across Nigeria, ultimately creating an alumni network of more young Nigerians who will benefit from ongoing mentorship, networking, and support.
