Tinubu Assures Nigerians of a Brighter Future, Thanks National Assembly for Support

In a heartfelt New Year address, President Bola Tinubu assured Nigerians that his administration is committed to leading the country toward prosperity, emphasizing that the nation’s ongoing progress is fueled by the support from the National Assembly over the past 19 months.

Speaking on Wednesday at his Ikoyi residence in Lagos, Tinubu expressed gratitude for the unwavering backing from lawmakers and reiterated the government’s dedication to transforming the nation for the betterment of future generations. The event was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, National Assembly leaders, and former principal officers.

“Your commitment to value addition and the spirit of ‘can do’ and ‘must do’ is for all of us together. It is for us to build a nation. We have confidence and competence. The enslavers want us to be anything but enslaved people, but we say no. We are determined, we are capable, and we are resolute,” President Tinubu declared.

The president stressed that the transformative journey embarked upon by his administration is designed to benefit not just current Nigerians, but also future generations, affirming that every effort is aimed at securing a brighter tomorrow for the country. He expressed hope that the collaborative efforts of the government, the National Assembly, and all Nigerians will lead to the realization of the nation’s full potential.

Tinubu’s message of unity and determination resonated with those present, as he concluded with a call for continued collective effort to achieve the promised land. “We will take Nigeria to that promised land with you,” he said, encapsulating the vision for the nation’s future.

The president’s remarks set an optimistic tone for the year ahead, highlighting his administration’s resolve to overcome challenges and achieve long-lasting prosperity for Nigeria.
