Hunger Eradication Initiative by IMPACT23 Reaches Gafare Village Residents

Date:

In a heartwarming gesture to improve the welfare of rural communities, the non-governmental organization IMPACT23 organized a “Hunger Eradication Outreach” in Gafare village, Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The initiative, held on Saturday, December 21, aimed to ensure that residents of the community could enjoy a memorable Christmas celebration.

Food staples, including rice, beans, garri, noodles, and other essential items, were distributed to members of the community, aligning with the NGO’s mission to combat hunger in rural areas.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Paul Olubo, Executive Director of IMPACT23, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to eradicating hunger, particularly as economic challenges continue to affect many households across the country.

“Christmas symbolizes love and giving, and it wouldn’t be complete without extending support to individuals and communities in need,” Dr. Olubo said.

Segun Adewale, FCT Coordinator for IMPACT23, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the organization’s longstanding tradition of bringing joy to people during both festive and non-festive periods.

Among the beneficiaries, Peter Dunka and Comfort James expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organization for selecting their community for the outreach. They offered prayers for divine blessings and replenishment for the NGO’s efforts.

This event is part of a series of humanitarian activities by IMPACT23. Recently, the organization conducted a free medical outreach in the Peti community, Gwagwalada Area Council, underscoring its dedication to improving the lives of underserved populations.

In addition to its hunger eradication initiatives, IMPACT23 is actively engaged in mentorship programs aimed at guiding young people and discovering talents, ensuring a lasting impact on society.

The residents of Gafare village have welcomed the organization’s efforts, with many describing the outreach as a beacon of hope during challenging times.
