Mogajis, Baales Applaud Adeleke’s Historic Decision on Owa Obokun Title

Traditional leaders in Ibadan, including Mogajis, Baales, chiefs, and market heads, have expressed profound appreciation to the Osun State Government for approving Prince Haastrup Adesuyi as the Owa Obokun of Ijesa-elect.

In a statement released by Mogaji Nurudeen Akinade, Coordinator of the Ibadan Compounds Peace Initiatives (ICPI), the decision was hailed as a transformative moment for the Ijesa community and its revered traditional institutions. The chiefs described the approval as a bold step toward fostering unity and stability in the region.
