The National Sports Commission, under the leadership of Chairman Shehu Dikko and Director-General Honourable Bukola Olopade, is set to convene an important meeting with the presidents and secretaries of Nigeria’s sports federations on Tuesday.

The gathering aims to advance the country’s sports development through strategic collaboration.

The meeting is in line with the NSC’s commitment to supporting the core objectives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, which is to sustain growth in the sports sector.

This session will provide an opportunity for key stakeholders to align their efforts in driving Nigeria’s sports economy forward.

Dikko said the critical role sports federations play in the nation’s sports economy.
“Sports federations are key players in the nation’s sports economy drive and must assume their role with a drive for success,” Dikko said, highlighting the importance of collective action.

Director-General Bukola Olopade added that innovation and creativity are crucial to transforming sports administration in Nigeria.

“Innovation and creativity should be at the core of sports administration across the country, ensuring positive changes in the sports industry,” he stated.

The meeting will address key issues such as fostering collaboration among federations, improving accountability, and enhancing operational efficiency.

The goal is to ensure that the efforts of different stakeholders are aligned toward a common objective: boosting Nigeria’s standing on the global sports stage.

The NSC leadership reiterated its commitment to a results-driven approach that aims to elevate Nigeria’s sports sector and secure long-term growth.
