2026 Congresses: APC Releases Adjusted Timetable

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released an adjusted timetable for its 2026 nationwide congresses and national convention, outlining activities that will run from January to March 2026.

According to the schedule issued by the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, the process will begin with membership e-registration from January 31 to February 8, 2026. Ward and local government area (LGA) congresses will follow, starting with the purchase and submission of forms between February 4 and 9, screening of aspirants from February 11 to 12, and ward congresses on February 18, 2026.

LGA congresses, which will include the election of delegates to the national convention, are slated for February 21, 2026, while appeals arising from the ward and LGA congresses will be concluded by February 23, 2026.

State congress activities will begin with the sale of forms for state executive positions from February 22 to 25, 2026, followed by screening of aspirants on February 27 and 28. State congresses will hold on March 3, 2026, with appeals fixed for March 4.

Zonal congresses are scheduled for March 25, 2026, across the six geopolitical zones, while the APC National Convention will hold from March 27 to 28, 2026.

The timetable, issued in line with the party’s constitution, is expected to guide the election of party officials at all levels as the ruling party prepares for future electoral contests.
