Napoli’s director, Giovanni Manna, has clarified that no club has made an official approach to activate Victor Osimhen’s €75m release clause amid speculation linking him to Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
Despite rumors suggesting that either club may trigger the clause to cut short Osimhen’s loan at Galatasaray, Manna confirmed that Napoli has not been contacted about the Nigerian forward’s potential move.
“Nobody has reached out to us. Victor is a Napoli player currently on loan at Galatasaray,” Manna stated.
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray in January after a transfer saga involving Napoli, Chelsea, and Al-Ahli, has made a strong impact at the Turkish club, scoring 10 goals and providing five assists in 13 appearances.
Galatasaray remains unbeaten in both domestic and European competitions.
The striker has expressed his intention to see through his season-long loan, a sentiment echoed by Galatasaray’s president, Dursun Özbek, and manager, Okan Buruk.
Manna also reiterated that Napoli’s focus remains on their ongoing campaign, with any potential squad improvements secondary to their current priorities.
