Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle aimed at strengthening governance and improving administrative efficiency in the state.
A statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor, said the changes affected three key appointments within the state executive council.
Vincent Osas Uwadiae has been redeployed from the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources to the Ministry of Lands and Housing as commissioner.
Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, who previously served as Commissioner for Lands and Housing, has been appointed Chief of Staff to the Governor.
Meanwhile, Gani Audu, the former Chief of Staff, has been nominated as Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, subject to confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.
The reshuffle takes effect from January 30, 2026.
According to the statement, the governor said he is confident the adjustments will enhance coordination, policy implementation, and governance in the state.
