Yinka Rythmz Donates Free Water to Ogun Community in Honour of Late Father

Date:

US-based Nigerian music star, Yinka Rythmz, has honoured the memory of his late father by donating a free water project to residents of Gbagura, Ogun State.

The Afro-fuji fusion artist, known for his philanthropic works, unveiled the water project as part of efforts to give back to society and honour the memory of his late father, whom he described as a man of the people.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Yinka Rythmz said the project was a personal commitment to improving the living standards of residents, adding that his father’s legacy of kindness inspired him to embark on the initiative.

“This is my way of showing gratitude to the community that raised me and of keeping my father’s good name alive. He loved people and served them, so I will continue to do the same,” he said.

Community leaders and residents expressed gratitude to the artist for the gesture, noting that the provision of free water would ease the challenges faced by households, especially during the dry season.

Yinka Rythmz, who has built a thriving music career blending Fuji, Afrobeat, and modern rhythms, has often used his platform to champion humanitarian causes. He hinted that more community-based projects would follow as part of his father’s memorial.

The water project is expected to serve hundreds of households daily, marking a significant improvement in the community’s access to clean water.

Meanwhile, Yinka Rythmz was recently honoured in Ipokia Kingdom, Ogun State, with the prestigious traditional title of Bobadara of Ipokia, while his wife was conferred with the title of Yeye Bobadara in recognition of their contributions to the development of the community.

The artiste, who has made a name for himself both in Nigeria and abroad, reiterated his commitment to carrying out more projects that will uplift communities in Ogun State and beyond.
