Super Eagles striker, Tolu Arokodare, is at the center of a fierce transfer battle in Europe, with Turkish giants Fenerbahçe, German Bundesliga powerhouses Borussia Dortmund, and VfB Stuttgart all expressing strong interest in acquiring the 24-year-old striker ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Arokodare, who plies his trade with KRC Genk in Belgium, enjoyed a sensational season under manager Thorsten Fink, netting 23 goals and providing five assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.

His stellar campaign was capped with the prestigious Belgian Pro League Golden Shoe, awarded to the league’s top performer.

According to Turkish outlet Wajturk, Fenerbahçe are looking to strengthen their squad significantly this summer following a disappointing end to their 2024/25 season, in which arch-rivals Galatasaray clinched the Super Lig title.

The club, now under the leadership of veteran Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho, is reportedly eager to make a statement signing, and Arokodare has emerged as a top target.

The move comes as Galatasaray recently captured German international Leroy Sané, and are also working to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli — raising the stakes in the Istanbul rivalry.

Fenerbahçe’s fans are demanding a strong response, and the signing of Arokodare could help the club reassert itself both domestically and in Europe.

Standing at 1.97 meters, Arokodare fits the mold of a traditional Super Lig striker — physically imposing, athletic, and blessed with two-footed finishing ability.

His profile has made him a hot commodity in the transfer market, especially for clubs looking for a reliable frontman with international pedigree.

However, it’s not just Turkey calling.

Borussia Dortmund, fresh from a Champions League final appearance, and VfB Stuttgart, who finished strongly in the Bundesliga last season, are also monitoring the Nigerian forward closely.

Both German clubs offer the prospect of top-tier European football and could be attractive destinations for the former FC Köln striker.

Despite the swirling transfer rumours, it remains unclear where Arokodare’s future lies.

In a past interview, he revealed his admiration for Spanish giants Real Madrid, suggesting that he may have ambitions of playing in La Liga.

For now, Nigerian fans will be watching closely as one of their rising stars becomes one of the most sought-after names in the European transfer market this summer.
