I Was Paid N300k To Manipulate Audio To Discredit Natasha, Ogbonnaya Reveals

Date:

A media personality, Francess Olisa-Ogbonnaya has revealed she was paid the sum of N300, 000 to manipulate audio recordings to damage the reputation of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

In an exclusive interview with a journalist, Adeola Fayehun, Ogbonnaya revealed how she was paid by one Professor to create false audio recordings aimed at implicating the senator in a scandal.

Ogbonnaya claimed that the Professor  approached her with a request to produce altered audio to publicly discredit Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, adding that she was asked to use her platform to spread harmful claims against the senator via television and social media.

According to Ogbonnaya, the request included producing doctored audio and video materials to falsely implicate Akpoti-Uduaghan in making inflammatory and fabricated remarks.

Ogbonnaya stated that after reviewing the materials, she found no evidence to suggest that Senator Natasha made any such statements.

“How could Senator Natasha be plotting against the Yoruba government? As a Kogi person, she is part of a minority group with no such alliances. Sometimes, the Igalas are even mistaken for Igbos,” she said.

Ogbonnaya also claimed that the Professor paid her N300,000 for the production of the audio, but later demanded a refund after she removed certain false claims from the final version of the recording.

“I couldn’t put myself or my registered company at risk by promoting lies,” Ogbonnaya remarked.

The issue gained public attention after a controversial video emerged, in which a person claiming to be a professor alleged that Senator Natasha had fabricated her sexual harassment accusation against Senate President Akpabio.

The video generated widespread backlash, prompting Ogbonnaya to speak out and provide what she described as exclusive behind-the-scenes details.

Ogbonnaya recalled that the professor approached her on Easter Monday, requesting assistance in creating an audio recording that could “expose” the senator.

After Ogbonnaya edited out parts of the recording that she considered false, the Professor allegedly became upset, accusing her of sabotaging the plan.

Ogbonnaya further alleged that the Professor had previously claimed expertise in voice manipulation, sharing tutorials on how to alter recordings, a claim supported by dated screenshots presented during the interview.

During the interview, Ogbonnaya displayed evidence including WhatsApp messages, payment receipts, and an alleged script titled “Light Mask: The Politics of Blackmail and Emotional Manipulation.”

When asked if the Professor acted alone or with political backing, Ogbonnaya stated that the Professor had mentioned being promised a political position in exchange for her involvement in the campaign.

According to Ogbonnaya, the Professor had claimed she was once offered the deputy governorship of Imo State.

Ogbonnaya emphasized that while she was willing to provide evidence, such as WhatsApp chats and audio conversations, to security agencies, she clarified that she has no evidence linking the Professor’s actions to any coordinated political efforts, including any connection to Senate President Akpabio.

Ogbonnaya, who had previously contested for a seat in the Imo State House of Assembly, expressed her decision to speak out as a way to defend the reputations of both Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan and Senate President Akpabio, as well as to preserve the integrity of political discourse in the country.
