President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has endorsed the reelection of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, for a second term in office.
Tinubu’s endorsement came after commissioning some of “legacy projects” of the state government.
The President who described Soludo’s government as “progressive judging from his administration’s monumental accomplishments,” declared that his government will continue to support as well as partner Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo to enable him to realise his vision and mission for Anambra.
Tinubu noted that Anambra is indeed rising under Governor Soludo and that there is need to sustain the trajectory of good governance in the state; emphasizing that the governor is a visionary, intelligent, resilient and brilliant by all standards of public administration and needs no replacement in the present circumstance.
The President, who emphasized that progressives are working together to realise a better Nigeria for all rooted in unity in diversity, maintained that the governor has no competitor in the upcoming November 8th gubernatorial elections.
Tinubu said that his administration will continue to partner Anambra State to deliver shared prosperity for the citizens and the entire country, adding that the country’s diversity must lead to prosperity.
He described Anambra State as a beacon of commerce, intellect and cultural strength not only to the Southeast but to Nigeria as a whole.
He said that Prof. Soludo is his friend, describing him as a brilliant man with the brain and thinking faculty; that they would work together inclusively.
That from what he has seen on ground in the state, a solid foundation for developmental progress is being laid and that Anambra State is on the rise.
Tinubu acknowledged that the Solution Fun City, the new Government House mini city, the Anambra Tower of Light, the Emeka Anyaoku Boulevard Awka and some other signature projects constituted his audacious vision of Anambra State as African-Dubai-Taiwan Silicone Valley.
That with the massive infrastructure Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo is instituting coupled with human capital development, the state is headed for greater heights and they will all work together to fast track the vision.
Tinubu also commended Governor Soludo for improving security in Anambra State and assured him that the federal government will continue to partner the state and the Southeast to secure people in the region.
