Iwobi eyes 10th EPL goal against Southampton

Date:

Alex Iwobi, will aim to score his 10th Premier League goal of the season for Fulham when they take on already-relegated Southampton on Saturday afternoon at Saint Marys.

The Nigerian midfielder who netted a personal best nine EPL goals this term, including one last weekend in the Cottagers 2-1 loss at home Chelsea last Sunday, has four goal (two goals, two assists) contribution in his last six EPL games.

He will also aim to score his first goal against Southampton in 17 games in the encounter as the European-chasing Fulham will endeavour to boost their top-eight hopes.

Iwobi has scored 31 goals in 286 EPL appearances winning 114 games losing 109 and recording 63 draws.

Southampton will unsurprisingly enter Saturday’s fixture as underdogs and firm favourites Fulham.

The Cottagers who have scored in six of their last seven PL matches, will hope to have the clinical touch in front of goal that they lacked in the reverse fixture.

None of Fulham’s last 13 league games have ended as a draw (W6 L7) and we expect this run to continue as Silva’s men should have enough to get the better of a frail Saints backline this time around.
