President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Abuja following a diplomatic and holiday trip that saw him attend the 2026 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in the United Arab Emirates and spend time in Paris on annual leave.
Confirming his return on Saturday, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said Tinubu has concluded his travels and is back to the nation’s capital to continue his official duties.
The president’s itinerary included witnessing the signing of a major trade agreement between Nigeria and the UAE at the sustainability summit, aimed at boosting economic cooperation and expanding opportunities for Nigerian exporters.
Tinubu also used part of his time abroad to rest in Paris before heading to Abu Dhabi for the summit, where Nigeria and the Emirates agreed on enhanced trade collaboration and plans to hold a joint invest-oriented event in Lagos next month.
His return comes amid ongoing national discussions about leadership presence and governance, with key stakeholders anticipating resumed focus on domestic priorities.
