Security Operatives Detained Ismaila Edibo, Mohammed Shaibu in January 2021 Over Transformer Theft, Not Kidnapping — Omaye Camp

Chief Omaye Salifu Igonoh, also known as HRH Chief Salifu Omaye Philip Igonoh, is the Ojogba of Odo-Eto community in Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State. A public figure, community Leader and businessman who is an advocate for peace and maintaining Government facilities in the community.

He has denied allegations of kidnapping two community members, Ismaila Edibo and Mohammed Shaibu, in January 2021. According to Chief Omaye’s supporters and legal representatives, the accusations are false and politically motivated, aiming to tarnish his reputation.

The narrative alleging Chief Omaye’s involvement in the kidnapping is reportedly misleading, omitting critical facts that the two men were actually Arrested and detained by security forces over security-related allegations and later released on bail after police investigations.

The men were previously implicated in selling of Odo-Eto community Transformer and involving in different social vices and causing unrest in the community. They also claimed chief Umaru Musa petition Omaye Salifu Igonoh which is false and Lie from the pit of hell.
