The all unity umbrella for Yache nation otherwise known as YCDA (Inc) has insisted that its unity cannot be compromised, as it urged collective efforts to ensuring the success of the forum`s forthcoming elections.
A statement jointly signed by the Agu Agribe, National President, Oko Peter Maurice, National Secretary-General and the Media Diector, Godwin Amunde, said the body feels fulfilled at the expression of interests in the upcoming poll.
It however frowned at what it described as the “unpalatable” approach used by some interested parties, as it maintained that “Yache Community is for all Yache citizens, and no one should assume superiority over others. The Yache Youth Forum (Inc) is free to conduct its elections, and the electoral committee’s processes are commendable.”
While stressing that the efforts and sacrifices of building Yache nation cannot be toiled with, the forum tasked members to enschew all “forms of brimstones and unacceptable behavior on social media platforms must cease.”
“The electoral committee must be allowed to conclude its assignments. Delegate lists will be studied and screened to ensure eligibility. Issues of political neutrality, if any will be addressed accordingly. Any attempt to truncate the elections will not be acceptable.
“The YCDA (Inc) urges all aggrieved persons or groups to attend a meeting scheduled for Wednesday, June 4, 2025, to address concerns and issues.
This national election is a litmus test for Yache nation, and all citizens must safeguard it. Nobody should claim to be more Yache than others.”
