APC Debunks Report on Automatic Tickets for N’Assembly Members

Date:

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has firmly denied reports that it has granted automatic return tickets to all serving members of the National Assembly, describing the claims as “fake news” and misleading.

In an official statement released on Tuesday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, debunked the widespread report, calling it a “purported Breaking News Report” falsely attributed to the party.

“The report is FAKE NEWS and should be disregarded in its entirety as it did not emanate from our great Party,” Morka stated.

He warned that the false information was of “mischievous origin,” allegedly aimed at sowing confusion among party members and interfering with internal processes.

The denial comes amid increasing speculation surrounding APC’s candidate selection strategies as political activities ramp up ahead of the next general election cycle.

Morka emphasized that all official decisions and announcements regarding party nominations and internal affairs would be made through verified party platforms and not through unverified media reports.

“Our members and the general public are urged to rely solely on official communications from the APC,” he added.

The statement appears intended to calm tensions and maintain order among aspirants and stakeholders within the ruling party as preparations for the 2027 elections intensify.
