Galatasaray Tempt Osimhen with 40% Cut in Future Testimonial Windfall

Date:

Galatasaray are preparing an audacious move to retain Victor Osimhen for one more season amid growing transfer speculation.

The Nigerian striker, who joined the Istanbul giants on loan from Napoli last September, has had a sensational debut campaign in Turkey.

Osimhen has scored 35 goals in 39 matches across all competitions, making him the highest-scoring foreign player in Turkish football history.

The 26-year-old is also on course to finish the season as the top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig—just two seasons after becoming the first African player to win the Capocannoniere in Italy’s Serie A.

According to Milliyet, Galatasaray are willing to go to extraordinary lengths to convince Osimhen to stay at the club.

The club is reportedly ready to pay Napoli a transfer fee and has proposed a highly unusual incentive: offering Osimhen a 40 per cent share of the profits from his own future testimonial.

Under this plan, if Osimhen is sold for more than €75 million next year, he would receive 40 per cent of the amount exceeding that fee.

It’s a bold strategy from the Turkish champions, who hope this profit-sharing model—rarely seen in football—will help fend off interest from Europe’s top clubs and persuade the Nigerian to extend his stay in Istanbul.
