The grand opening of the Ijebu Lounge in Ilishan, Iperu Remo, was marked by fanfare and cultural vibrance as Hon. Hammed Adeniyi Adebolu, popularly known as the Sekere of Lagos, led a high-profile delegation to the event on Saturday.
The Lounge, owned by popular Nollywood actor Olatayo Amokade, famously known as “Ijebu,” attracted a crowd of well-wishers, entertainers, and residents. Ijebu himself offered prayers for the success of the business, expressing optimism about the lounge’s future as a cultural and entertainment hub.
Sekere of Lagos, a well-known businessman and politician, was received with excitement and admiration by the local community. His convoy’s arrival drew a large crowd of both young and old, who came out in numbers to show support and appreciation for his ongoing contributions to diplomacy, leadership, and youth empowerment.
In a highlight of the night, Fuji maestro Alhaji Sule Alao Malaika took the stage and delivered a thrilling performance that had the audience dancing and singing along.
The event was further lit up by the presence of notable Nollywood stars including Ronke Oshodi Oke and Kunle Afod, who mingled with fans and lent their support to their colleague, Ijebu.
