Top ministers in President Bola Tinubu’s administration, including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, are scheduled to present a detailed account of the administration’s achievements at an international press conference in London, United Kingdom.
The event, slated for Friday, June 27, 2025, will also feature the official launch of a Compendium and website cataloguing the legacy projects of the Tinubu administration over the past two years.
Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, Bode Adeyemi, Project Internal Coordinator of the President Bola Tinubu Midterm Legacy Projects Review Committee, said the initiative aims to present “verifiable success stories” of the government to the international community.
“The Tinubu administration has made unprecedented achievements in less than 24 months, despite distractions and the global economic climate,” Adeyemi stated. “Every well-meaning Nigerian and member of the international community should be proud of the Midas touch President Tinubu has given to Nigeria’s leadership.”
Other key figures expected to speak at the London event include Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo; Chief Executive of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, Gbenga Komolafe; Managing Director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, Usman Osidi; and Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Zacheous Adedeji.
Adeyemi added that the achievements would be presented both as a printed compendium and on a newly developed digital platform. He credited ministers, heads of agencies, and departmental leaders for their “relentless efforts” in advancing the administration’s goals.
At an earlier strategic meeting with the Political Affairs Head of the British High Commission in Nigeria, the UK Chapter Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tunde Doherty, emphasized the importance of the media event in countering “false narratives” allegedly spread by opposition voices.
Doherty highlighted major milestones under Tinubu’s leadership, including local refinery production, the push for local government autonomy, landmark infrastructure projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road and Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, and critical economic reforms such as fuel subsidy removal and debt repayments to the International Monetary Fund.
He said the international briefing would serve as an opportunity to “present the right narrative” about governance in Nigeria and reinforce the administration’s commitment to transparency, development, and reform.
