World record holder in the 100 and 200m Usain Bolt, has urged Manchester United to sign Ademola Lookman, who is expected to leave Atalanta at the end of the season.
Lookman has attracted interest from several top European clubs in recent months, following confirmation that the Atalanta star will depart after spending three years in Italy, achieving notable feats including the Europa League triumph in the 2023-24 season.
Lookman has also been one of the standout players for Atalanta this season, scoring 18 goals and providing six assists in 37 games across all competitions.
In a recent interview, Usain Bolt expressed his admiration for the 27-year-old mentioning him first when asked which players he would like to see Manchester United sign.
“The left winger from Atalanta, he’s called Lookman. I have watched him throughout, he’s pretty good,” Bolt said.
“I think Cole Palmer has really showed his class and the striker I would like is Viktor from Sporting. Those are the three signings I would definitely get for this summer,” he added.
In addition to Manchester United, Lookman has also been linked with Arsenal, with transfer expert Florian Plettenberg revealing that the Gunners have included the Nigerian winger on their shortlist ahead of a busy summer transfer window.
Despite heavy interest from Europe’s elite clubs, Lookman will be focused on completing the season with Atalanta before making any decisions about his future.
Atalanta are currently third in the Serie A standings with 65 points but must secure key victories to guarantee a spot in the Champions League next season.
