Bayer Leverkusen and Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has emerged as a potential transfer target for Juventus ahead of the summer window, as the Serie A giants explore alternatives to Victor Osimhen.
According to Tuttosport, Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has been monitoring Boniface for several months, with the Nigerian forward’s impressive form in the Bundesliga catching the attention of the club’s hierarchy.
While Napoli’s Osimhen remains Juventus’ top target, his hefty €75m valuation and stiff competition from clubs across Europe and Asia could force the Bianconeri to pursue more affordable options.
Boniface, who played a pivotal role in Bayer Leverkusen’s title-winning campaign under Xabi Alonso, is one of four backup options under serious consideration by the Turin club.
Other names on the list include RB Leipzig’s Lois Openda, who registered 29 goals and seven assists last season, and Georgia international Georges Mikautadze, who boasts 16 goals and 11 assists this term and could be available for around €25m.
Also mentioned is Rennes striker Arnaud Kalimuendo, 23, who has scored six goals and provided one assist from 31 appearances this season.
Juventus are reportedly planning a significant overhaul of their attacking lineup this summer, with current forwards Dusan Vlahovic and Randal Kolo Muani both expected to leave at the end of the 2024–25 season.
Boniface, 23, has quickly risen in prominence in Europe and continues to build a reputation as one of Nigeria’s most promising attacking talents, adding intrigue to Juventus’ summer transfer plans.
