Gaibayo Sports Launches Scouting Program

Date:

goGaibayo Sports, under the leadership of FIFA-licensed agent Gabriel Akande, proudly announces the launch of the Gaibayo Advanced Scouting (GAS) Program, scheduled to take place from April 28–30, 2025, at the iconic Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.

In a major milestone for Nigerian football, the event will feature official scouts from Sporting Clube de Portugal (Sporting CP) -João Henrique Correia, Pedro Ilharco, and Rui Fernandes.

Representing one of Europe’s most storied clubs, known for developing legends like Cristiano Ronaldo and Luís Figo, their presence marks a significant opportunity for young African talents.

The GAS Program aims to provide a transformative platform for promising players to gain international exposure, elite-level training, and potential professional opportunities. Selected talents will have the chance to connect directly with top European academies and take crucial steps toward a professional football career.

“Africa has always been a cradle of extraordinary football talent — what has often been missing is structured opportunity. Through the GAS Program, we are creating a direct bridge from the grassroots to the global stage, giving young talents the chance to dream bigger, work harder, and achieve greatness,” Akande, Founder of Gaibayo Sports said.

Eight standout teams, chosen through a competitive pre-scouting tournament in January, will showcase their skills.
Box2Box FC, Oasis FC, Jumez FC, Kazim Eletu FC, Seamoriow FC, FC Bethel Sporting Club,G12 FC and Vido99 FC.

The GAS initiative underscores Gaibayo Sports’ commitment to discovering and nurturing Nigeria’s next generation of football stars — following in the footsteps of icons like Victor Osimhen, Jay-Jay Okocha, and Rasheed Yekini.
