Juventus are reportedly preparing to make a move for Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman, should Victor Osimhen’s much-discussed transfer to Manchester United go through.
Recent reports from both Nigeria and Turkey have suggested that Osimhen has agreed to personal terms with Manchester United, paving the way for his potential departure this summer.
While Napoli or the Nigerian striker is yet to confirm the move, the growing speculation indicates that the Red Devils could secure Osimhen’s signature in the coming weeks.
Should Osimhen make the move to Old Trafford, Juventus will be forced to look elsewhere for a new striker, with the Italian club now turning their attention to Lookman, who has been in sensational form for Atalanta this season according to Italian daily, Calciomercato.com.
Despite being under contract with Atalanta, Lookman is expected to be sold this summer, with reports suggesting that his price could be significantly lower than the €75m release clause in his deal.
Lookman’s potential move to Juventus would be a notable shift in the transfer market, especially after reports emerged of a fallout between the Nigerian forward and his current coach at Atalanta, Gian Piero Gasperini.
The Nigerian international’s ability to play across multiple attacking positions makes him an ideal candidate for Juventus, who are seeking to bolster their frontline.
