Davido, Chioma plans big career moves, rule out kids for now

Date:

Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke aka Davido has revealed that he and his wife, Chioma, are pausing plans to have more children in order to focus on family balance and Chioma’s budding entrepreneurial goals.

Speaking during a recent episode of Ride Along With Darryl which started trending on Saturday, the father of five explained that, for now, expanding their family isn’t a priority.

“I don’t want more children now. Me and my wife are taking a break. She needs to get out to work.

“She wants to do a lot of things like opening her restaurant and launching her spices. I feel she deserves a couple of years off after having three kids,” Davido said.

The singer went on to share that Chioma is currently spending more time abroad and is preparing to launch her business ventures, beginning with her line of spices.

“She is here mostly now so I think she is going to open something here first, both in Nigeria and here, but she wants to open something here first.

“The main thing is the spices for now. Get the spices in some major stores worldwide, both in Africa and diaspora, everywhere, ’cause her food tastes amazing,” he added.

Davido and Chioma welcomed a set of twins, a boy and a girl in 2023, one year after the heartbreaking loss of their first son, Ifeanyi, who passed away in 2022 following a drowning incident.
