Nigeria international, Samuel Chukwueze, is poised to leave AC Milan this summer following an underwhelming season.
The Italian giants are preparing for a major squad overhaul after a disappointing campaign, and the winger is one of the first names expected to depart.
Chukwueze joined the Rossoneri from Spanish side Villarreal in July 2023 for a fee of €20 million plus €7 million in bonuses, arriving with high expectations.
However, the 24-year-old has struggled to adapt to life in Italy, making little impact in Serie A.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan had agreed to terms in January with Fulham FC of the English Premier League, but the deal collapsed late due to a disagreement over the transfer formula.
The Rossoneri are expected to rekindle discussions with the London club ahead of the summer window.
Now valued between €12 million and €15 million, Chukwueze remains on the radar of several La Liga clubs, including Real Sociedad, Real Betis, and Sevilla, all of whom are said to be exploring potential deals.
While Milan’s key players such as Rafael Leão and Theo Hernandez are likely to remain—barring irresistible offers—the club is reportedly focused on offloading players who have not met performance expectations.
Chukwueze, whose move to Milan was seen as a major step in his career, is now top of that list.
His imminent departure would bring a swift close to a chapter that began with promise but failed to deliver results.
With interest from both Spain and England, Chukwueze may soon find a fresh start away from the pressures of San Siro as he looks to revive his form and confidence ahead of a crucial stage in his career.
