Beyond Limits captain Oluwaseyi Ogunniyi has agreed a deal to join Danish outfit AC Horsens.
Ogunniyi joins a growing list of Beyond Limits’ graduates like Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Kparobo Arierhi and Promise Meliga who have moved abroad.
Ogunniyi who clocked 18 on March 11 is expected to join the Danish league promotion hopefuls Horsens this summer after the conclusion of the current Nigerian league season.
The Nigeria National League side has become a pathway for players to move abroad in recent seasons, and the right-back has now become the latest talent to leave the Ikenne-based academy.
The youngster, who is a product of the NPFL U-15 promises some years back after a stellar performance that earned him a place in the team of the tournament, has been one of the consistent performers for the second division club in the past few seasons.
Upon his promotion to Beyond Limits’ U-17s, he played in the TCC League – a privately owned league for teams in Ogun State and Lagos States and other international competitions such as the Gothia Cup, and Viareggio Cup etc.
Ogunniyi’s versatility, defensive ability, and the skill to drive attacks for his team have made him one of the brightest young prospects in the country.
The teenager, who became the club’s captain at the start of this season, most recently led his side to the Creative Championship Cup title following a 3-0 win over Dino Sporting Club.
