Simon attracting interest from Ligue 1 Clubs, Saudi teams

Date:

Nigeria international winger Moses Simon is attracting the attention of several top Ligue 1 clubs as he enters the final year of his contract with Nantes.

The 29-year-old has been one of the standout performers in Ligue 1 this season, contributing seven goals and nine assists, and was recently nominated for the Marc Vivien-Foe award, given to the best African player in the league.

As Simon approaches the final year of his deal, Nantes has softened its stance and is now willing to consider selling him during the summer transfer window.

The club had previously considered Simon unsellable, but with his contract running down, they are keen on avoiding losing him for free next season.

At least six Ligue 1 clubs have reportedly expressed interest in securing Simon’s services. The winger has made it clear that he prefers to stay in Europe, making French clubs the frontrunners in the race for his signature.

Teams from the Gulf region, including Saudi Arabia, have also shown interest, but Simon’s priority remains playing in Europe for the next few years.

Simon’s performances this season have further established him as one of the top talents in Ligue 1, and his ability to both score and assist makes him a highly sought-after player.

Despite the interest from abroad, the winger’s primary goal is to remain in Europe, where he has enjoyed success since joining Nantes.

The future of Moses Simon looks set to dominate the summer transfer window, with his next move likely to be one of the most anticipated in French football.

His performances have been crucial in Nantes’ battle against relegation, and with his future uncertain, clubs across Europe are keen to secure the Nigerian’s signature.
