In a groundbreaking move, the National Human Rights And Humanitarian Federation (NHRF) has declared April 1st as International Intelligence Day, shifting the focus from the traditional April Fool’s Day.
According to Indian born Human Rights Activist & NHRF President & Founder, the decision was made to recognize the importance of intelligence in shaping individual and collective futures, promoting critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, while encouraging lifelong learning, self-improvement, and intellectual curiosity.
Delhi-based, World renowned Indian born Human Rights Activist, Dr Shafeeq Shahul said today being Tuesday, April 1, 2025 has been observed for centuries as “April Fool Day,” but NHRF believes it’s time to redefine this day to celebrate something more meaningful and impactful.
Dr. Shafeeq Shahul Hameed, Founder and Chairman of NHRF added that, “this decision was made to recognize the importance of intelligence in shaping individual and collective futures, promoting critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, while encouraging lifelong learning, self-improvement, and intellectual curiosity.
In his words: “NHRF has outlined several objectives for International Intelligence Day, including recognizing the importance of intelligence, promoting critical thinking, encouraging lifelong learning, and fostering a culture of innovation and creativity. To mark this occasion, NHRF has announced plans to observe International Intelligence Day with various events and activities, including conferences, workshops, and competitions.”
“These events will aim today to promote intellectual discussions, debates, and innovation, while recognizing individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the field of intelligence.”
