Yobe : Committee Bemoans Low Turnout of Civil Servants For Verification

Date:

The Committee on Physical Verification of Civil Servants set up by the Yobe State government has bemoaned the low turnout of workers for the exercise despite prior notices and detailed timetable.

It said only 40 – 60 percent of scheduled civil servants attended the exercise, as it called on them to complete their physical verification for prompt salary payment.

The state Head of Service, Tonga Betara Bularafa, emphasised that the list of cleared civil servants will be forwarded to the Ministry of Finance on a daily basis to ensure prompt salary payment. He urged all outstanding personnel to comply with the schedule to ensure a smooth and timely conclusion of the exercise.

In his Sallah message, Betara congratulated all civil servants on the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitr celebration, encouraging them to carry forward the lessons of compassion, sacrifice, and unity imbibed during the holy month of Ramadan.

Affected personnel are advised to liaise with their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to confirm their scheduled appearance dates and documents required for timely clearance.
