Keyamo: Nigerians Will Appreciate Tinubu’s Legacy in Decades

Date:

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has stated that Nigerians will only fully appreciate President Bola Tinubu’s contributions to the country in decades to come.

Keyamo made this remark in a birthday tribute to the president on Saturday, emphasizing that Tinubu’s leadership and policy decisions will leave a lasting impact on Nigeria’s democratic and economic landscape.

“From an insider perspective, I dare say it will take decades before Nigerians truly and fully understand and appreciate the value President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has brought into our democratic space,” Keyamo said.

He described Tinubu as a strategic political leader who played a pivotal role in forming progressive coalitions to strengthen Nigeria’s democracy. According to him, Tinubu’s efforts in the formation of the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) and later the All Progressives Congress (APC) were instrumental in reshaping the country’s political system.

Keyamo also highlighted Tinubu’s determination in securing the APC’s presidential ticket in 2022 and his victory in the 2023 general election, despite facing major political hurdles.

The minister further praised Tinubu’s economic policies, particularly the removal of fuel subsidies and the floating of the naira, calling them courageous steps toward long-term economic stability.

“Now, we are clearly headed in the right direction as a country. Our macroeconomic indicators are looking up, and these will eventually impact jobs and ensure the revival and stability of the middle class,” he added.

Keyamo concluded that Tinubu’s leadership will stand as a benchmark for future generations, as his reforms set Nigeria on a path of sustainable economic growth and development.
