Osimhen: Super Eagles remaining matches are wars

Date:

Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen has declared that Nigeria is fully prepared to win their remaining matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, following their crucial 2-0 victory over Rwanda in Kigali.

Osimhen, who scored both goals in front of a capacity crowd that included Rwandan President Paul Kagame, said the team’s determination to secure qualification.
“We are ready,” Osimhen said.

The remaining matches are wars, and we must fight them with all that we have to win.”

The Super Eagles will face Zimbabwe on Tuesday in Uyo, aiming for another vital three points.

A win would take Nigeria to nine points, keeping them in contention for a World Cup ticket—especially if Benin Republic and South Africa drop points in their clash at Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny, Abidjan.

With a resurgent squad hungry for success, Nigeria is determined to fight their way back to the global stage and secure a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
