LASEPA’s General Manager, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, reiterated the agency’s commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy environment for Lagos residents, warning that violators would face strict enforcement.
“Noise pollution and other environmental infractions disrupt the peace and well-being of our communities. This enforcement action reinforces our zero-tolerance stance against violators and underscores our dedication to upholding environmental laws,” Dr. Ajayi stated.
He urged businesses and organizations to comply with state environmental regulations to avoid sanctions, emphasizing the agency’s determination to foster a cleaner and more sustainable Lagos.
LASEPA has been actively cracking down on establishments that flout environmental laws, particularly those contributing to excessive noise pollution and improper waste management. The agency also warned that defaulters risk prolonged closure and legal action if they fail to implement corrective measures.
