Fish for Life Empowerment Initiative has announced a partnership with Motiva Sports to enhance the Footprints to Greatness Youth Empowerment Program.
The program is aimed at equipping young athletes with essential soft skills and digital education. The collaboration will help foster both personal and professional growth for emerging football talents.
The F2G program, led by Motiva Sports, has a mission to develop young athletes beyond their athletic skills.
With Fish for Life Foundation’s expertise, the program will now include specialised training in leadership, soft skills, and digital literacy to help participants thrive in both sports and life.
Ope Banwo, founder of Fish for Life Foundation and a US-based attorney harped on the significance of integrating digital education and soft skills into the program.
He said, “We are providing young athletes with the tools necessary for long-term success, not only on the field but in various career paths they may pursue.”
Babajimi Ogunlana, a FIFA-licensed player agent and CEO of Motiva Sports, underscored the program’s comprehensive approach.
“Success in football is about more than just talent—it’s about education, discipline, and adaptability. This partnership will ensure that our participants are well-prepared for the future, whether in sports or other professional fields.”
The partnership will focus on training athletes in vital areas such as communication, leadership, career planning, branding, digital marketing, and leveraging online platforms to further their professional careers.
“This holistic approach aims to give young footballers the knowledge and confidence they need to excel both on and off the pitch.
The first step of this initiative will be a symposium scheduled for Thursday, February 27, followed by virtual soft skills training sessions next month.
This marks the beginning of a comprehensive program to empower young athletes, helping them build sustainable careers and create a positive impact in their communities.
