B.E Arena FC advanced to the final of the Cool Hopefuls Cup after securing a 2-0 victory over FC Ebedei’s second team in a hard-fought semi-final at the FC Ebedei Stadium in Apele-Sagamu.
Emmanuel Nweke and Nnadozie Kosisochukwu were the heroes for B.E Arena FC, scoring in the second half to seal the win.
Nweke broke the deadlock in the 67th minute, capitalising on a loose ball to net his fourth goal of the tournament, making him joint-top scorer alongside Shile Lawal.
Kosisochukwu later secured the victory on a counter-attack as FC Ebedei JNR pressed for an equaliser.
The match was a closely contested affair, with both teams missing key chances and goalkeepers making crucial saves.
Despite their efforts, FC Ebedei JNR were unable to break through B.E Arena FC’s defence.
Both teams created several scoring opportunities in the first half but were unable to convert, with goalkeepers making crucial saves to keep the match level.
With this victory, B.E Arena FC will now face the winner of the other semi-final between FC Ebedei and Wonderxchange FC in Sunday’s final at the FC Ebedei Stadium.
