Nwakaeme Suffers Muscle Injury, Out of Beşiktaş Clash

Date:

Trabzonspor has received disappointing news regarding Nigerian forward Anthony Nwakaeme, who has been ruled out of the upcoming Super League match against Beşiktaş due to a muscle injury.

The injury occurred following Trabzonspor’s 1-0 victory over Eyüpspor on Monday.

After the match, Nwakaeme reported feeling pain in his right leg, prompting immediate medical attention.

The club’s medical team, headed by Ahmet Beşir, confirmed that the forward suffered an injury to the lower back muscle of his right leg.

An MRI scan confirmed the diagnosis, and treatment has already begun to aid in his recovery.

In an official statement, Beşir provided an update on Nwakaeme’s condition, “After our Football A Team’s match against Eyüpspor on Monday, our player Nwakaeme felt pain and an injury was detected in the lower back muscle of his right leg as a result of the examination and MRI.

“Our player’s treatment has been started by our health team.”

This injury comes at a particularly difficult time for Trabzonspor, with a critical away match against Beşiktaş on Saturday.

Nwakaeme has been a vital player for Trabzonspor this season, and his absence is expected to be a significant blow for the team as they aim to maintain momentum in the league.

He has five goal contributions (two goals and three assists) in 19 games across all competitions.
