Nigerian musician icon David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has called Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen the greatest of all time.
Davido shared this on his verified Instagram story, which was seen by millions of his followers.
The Osun-born musician, impressed by the striker’s goal-scoring ability, posted Osimhen’s image with the caption: “My Greatest Of All Time @VictorOsimhen9.”
In response, the Galatasaray striker reposted the praise on the same platform.
It is well known that both stars, who have made Nigeria proud in their careers, share a strong friendship.
Osimhen even attended Davido’s traditional wedding a few months ago.
Davido’s plaudits come after Osimhen’s compatriot, Oghenekaro Etebo named the striker as the best in the world.
Osimhen’s impressive form this season, with 17 goals, has been instrumental in keeping Galatasaray atop the Super Lig standings.
In an interview with Milliyet, Etebo expressed his admiration for Osimhen’s exceptional talent and work ethic.
“Osimhen is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the world, and I believe the football community acknowledges this,” Etebo said.
“His move to Galatasaray was a great decision. He is an incredibly dedicated player who leaves everything on the pitch for his team.”
“His goal-scoring form continues, and he will keep scoring. I believe he has a bright and successful future ahead.”
He is expected to be in action for Galatasaray when they face Boluspor away in a Turkish Cup game on Thursday.
The former Lille striker has won several medals, including the Scudetto, an AFCON silver medal, and other top awards like the Serie A Golden Boot and CAF Player of The Year.
In just 37 appearances for Nigeria, Osimhen has scored 22 goals for Nigeria.
