Former Real Madrid and Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas has broken his silence over recent allegations by OnlyFans model and former adult film actress Claudia Bavel, slamming what he called attempts to “violate and undermine” his honour.
In a statement posted on his social media accounts, the 43-year-old football legend expressed outrage over the coverage of his private life following Bavel’s recent interviews. He criticized the media frenzy and vowed to pursue legal action against any breaches of his privacy.
“The situation has reached a point where it is unsustainable,” Casillas stated. “I will not allow any further interference in my private life or actions that undermine my honour. I have never negotiated with my private life nor granted exclusives about it. I will always protect my privacy.”
The controversy began when Bavel appeared on Spanish TV channel Telecinco, where she claimed to have been in a relationship with Casillas. She described alleged details about their time together, suggesting the footballer had grown distant after photos of them surfaced in a Spanish magazine. She also called him “stingy” and claimed he had considered becoming a father again.
Casillas, who shares two children with his ex-wife, journalist Sara Carbonero, denied the allegations and criticized media outlets for sensationalizing his private life. “Not everything is worth it to gain an audience or obtain fleeting fame at my expense,” he said.
While refusing to confirm or deny the nature of his relationship with Bavel, Casillas emphasized the serious personal consequences the situation has caused for him and his family. “I will not hesitate to seek damages for any violation of my privacy and honour,” he warned.
Casillas, widely regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers in football history, enjoyed a storied career with Real Madrid and Porto before retiring in 2020 after suffering a heart attack during training. He has since focused on personal ventures and charitable work, maintaining a low profile until recent events thrust his private life into the public spotlight.
Bavel, who claims to earn £17,000 monthly from OnlyFans, shared audio messages during her TV interview, allegedly from Casillas, including one where he called her “delicious.” However, Casillas dismissed these as attempts to generate publicity at his expense.
