Belgian club Lommel SK has secured the services of Nigerian wing-back Dominion Ohaka from Water FC on a one-year loan deal with an obligation to buy.
Despite the signing, Ohaka will not be available for immediate action due to an ongoing recovery from a previous injury.
Lommel SK’s sporting director, James McCarron, acknowledged Ohaka’s talent and national team experience but stated the club’s commitment to aiding his recovery.
“Dominion is known in his own country as a great talent. Making your debut for your national team at such a young age is not common.
“Unfortunately, he still has to recover from a previous injury, so he won’t be able to play immediately.
“We will do everything we can to get him fit as soon as possible,” McCarron stated.
Ohaka also expressed his delight at joining the elite list of Nigerian players overseas.
“Playing in Europe has always been a big dream,” Ohaka said.
“This dream is now coming true. I am very grateful to Lommel SK for the opportunity and am very much looking forward to playing in the Sovereign Stadium for the first time.”
“Unfortunately, my debut will have to wait a while, but I’m going to do everything I can to recover as soon as possible!”
