The All Progressives Congress (APC) has exempted women and persons with disabilities from buying its expression of interest and nomination forms for the November 8 governorship election in Anambra State.
The party also asked aspirants aged 25-40 to pay half of the total sum for the forms.
According to the APC election activities, the forms would sell for N50 million, with the expression of interest form going for N10 million, while the nomination form is fixed at N40 million each.
The party’s timetable released on Monday revealed that the sale of nomination and expression of interest and delegate forms start on the 10th of February, the last day for the submission of completed forms would be February 26th, commencement of campaign starts June 11th, and final day for the campaign would be 6th November.
On the notice of election to the state chapter, the APC said, “only members whose names appear on the register and are up to date in paying their membership due over the past year up to February 2025 will be eligible to vote and be voted for.”
The party said: “In compliance with relevant sections of the Nigeria Constitution and Electoral Act, we hereby make public our schedule of activities leading to the 8th November, 2025 guber election in Anambra state as released by INEC.”
