Graves, Shrine Uncovered as Anambra Demolishes Kidnappers’ Den Disguised as Hotel

Date:

The Anambra State government has demolished a notorious kidnappers’ den operating under the guise of Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, popularly known as “La Cruise Hotel,” along the Onitsha-Owerri road in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area.

The chilling operation, revealed in a video uploaded on the Anambra State New Media X page on Saturday night, uncovered harrowing evidence of the criminal activities within the premises. Authorities discovered well-partitioned graves on the hotel’s top floor, believed to contain the remains of over 30 victims.

In addition, a shrine allegedly used for occult practices by the gang was found within the facility. The discoveries confirmed long-standing suspicions about the hotel’s involvement in criminal activities under the guise of hospitality services.

The demolition, conducted under tight security, is part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to combat crime and ensure the safety of residents. Speaking on the exercise, state officials reiterated their zero-tolerance stance on criminality and assured citizens of their commitment to uprooting crime from the state.

The chilling discoveries have sparked public outrage and served as a stark reminder of the need for vigilance and continued efforts to combat criminal elements in society.
