Manchester City have strengthened their squad with the £63 million signing of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush, bringing their total January spending to £125 million. The 25-year-old Egyptian international has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal until June 2029 and will wear the iconic No. 7 shirt.
Marmoush, who has scored an impressive 20 goals in 26 games this season, arrives with high expectations as City aim to bounce back from a challenging start to the season. His move follows the summer departure of Julian Alvarez to Atletico Madrid, leaving Erling Haaland as the team’s primary striker.

Marmoush’s arrival makes him City’s third signing of the January window, following the acquisitions of center-backs Abdukodir Khusanov for £33.5 million and Vitor Reis for £29.4 million. His addition addresses a key area of need for City, who have lacked attacking depth behind Haaland.

The Egyptian forward’s signing continues Pep Guardiola’s efforts to revitalize the squad amid a competitive Premier League season. Marmoush is expected to bring versatility, pace, and clinical finishing to City’s attack as they aim to reclaim their dominance in domestic and European competitions.
Marmoush follows in the footsteps of players like Raheem Sterling and Joao Cancelo by donning the No. 7 shirt.
