Tensions soared at the Misfits 20 event on January 18, 2025, when former Chelsea and Manchester City defender Wayne Bridge had to be physically restrained after a brutal jibe from YouTube star-turned-boxer KSI.
Bridge, who was attending the event, entered the ring to confront KSI after the 31-year-old boxer made a sharp comment about Bridge’s infamous fallout with former Chelsea teammate John Terry. In a public feud dating back to 2009, Bridge had accused Terry of having an affair with his ex-partner, Vanessa Perroncel—a matter that was heavily publicized.
KSI taunted Bridge, saying, “Wayne Bridge, aren’t you the guy that let John Terry smash your ex? That is what you are known for.” He went further, singing a provocative chant about the incident. Bridge, visibly irate, responded, “You want to go there, do you?” and warned, “You’ll find out on the 29th.”
The verbal altercation escalated when KSI pushed Bridge, prompting security to step in as the retired footballer was held back by three guards. Despite the intense moment, both parties seemed to embrace the idea of facing off in the ring.
In a post-altercation exchange, KSI confirmed the possibility of a fight, saying, “So whatever, if that is what we are doing, then yes,” with reports suggesting the match will take place on March 29, 2025.
Bridge, who previously boxed in 2018 against Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, winning by unanimous decision, could now be preparing for a high-profile showdown with KSI.
As the altercation dominated headlines, the Misfits 20 event also saw other dramatic moments, including a serious shoulder injury to Afghan Dan during his loss to Little T. The Wayne Bridge and KSI confrontation, however, has captured the attention of many, with both combatants now set to settle their differences in the ring.
